  • Develop and lead teams in studies, plans, and designs for electric generation, transmission, distribution, and gas facilities.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations to the company and other business units on engineering matters.
  • Review financial data and provide technical expertise to strategic, legislative, and operational decisions.
  • Participate in creating, updating, and applying internal and industry standards and technology in specialized areas of expertise.
  • Train and mentor others in electrical engineering principles and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of professional engineering experience in electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of engineering designs, principles, and practices.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical systems.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory.
  • Minimum of three related career experiences or lead member of a recognized industry committee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate with all management levels.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of analysis software packages such as CYMDIST, PSSE, Python, PSCAD, MATLAB, etc.
