Job Overview

At Phoenix Youth and Family Services I, we are seeking a highly motivated Regional Prevention Representative to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining substance abuse prevention and education services across the region.

About the Role

The Regional Prevention Representative will be the key point of contact for schools, organizations, and businesses in the region, providing leadership through committees, networks, and coalitions to enhance prevention efforts. They will also be responsible for organizing training events, workshops, and curricula, as well as developing media campaigns, awareness materials, and activities.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, education, behavioral sciences, or a related field, and at least 2-3 years of experience in substance abuse prevention, health education, community outreach, or a similar field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain substance abuse prevention and education services across the region.
  • Provide leadership through committees, networks, and coalitions to enhance prevention efforts.
  • Organize training events, workshops, and curricula.
  • Develop media campaigns, awareness materials, and activities.
  • Utilize a data management system for input, assessment, and analysis to inform program decisions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, education, behavioral sciences, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in substance abuse prevention, health education, community outreach, or a similar field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, community groups, schools, or coalitions.
  • Knowledge of state and federal prevention programs, strategies, and resources.
