Regional Prevention Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Regional Prevention Representative to join our team at Phoenix Youth and Family Services I. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing substance abuse prevention and education services across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Development & Coordination: Develop and maintain substance abuse prevention and education services across the region, aligning local efforts with regional, state, and national programs.
• Community Engagement & Support: Assist schools, organizations, and businesses in program planning, design, implementation, and evaluation, provide leadership through committees, networks, and coalitions, and foster collaboration between diverse groups to enhance prevention efforts.
• Training & Awareness: Organize training events, workshops, and curricula, develop media campaigns, awareness materials, and activities.
• Data Management: Utilize a data management system for input, assessment, and analysis to inform program decisions, administrative and liaison duties, serve as a liaison for community prevention efforts, ensure adherence to funder deliverables and compliance with the scope of services outlined in RFPs, and maintain knowledge and skills through required training.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform any additional tasks that contribute to the success of the program and organization.

Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, education, behavioral sciences, or a related field, or at least 2-3 years of experience in substance abuse prevention, health education, community outreach, or a similar field, experience working with diverse populations, community groups, schools, or coalitions, and knowledge of state and federal prevention programs, strategies, and resources.
