Job Summary

Boys & Girls Haven is seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. As a Therapist, you will provide direct services to agency clients, utilizing a trauma-informed approach and evidence-based practices. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of youth and families.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide behavioral health services to clients, adhering to best practice guidelines and expectations of funding sources.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating a trauma-informed approach and evidence-based interventions.
  3. Conduct assessments, evaluations, and ongoing treatment sessions, as needed.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
  5. Document all services provided, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  6. Participate in clinical and programmatic supervision, as required.
  7. Ensure confidentiality of all client information, adhering to Boys & Girls Haven's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree from an accredited program in a field related to mental health (e.g., counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy).
  • Fully licensed or provisionally licensed in an applicable discipline (e.g., LCSW, CSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, MFTA). In good standing with the applicable professional board. Active professional liability insurance.
  • Two years' experience providing mental health services to children, teens, adults, and/or families. Experience providing community-based services is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle, and active auto insurance.
  • Ability to interact professionally with BGH employees, clients, visitors, government agencies, and the public. Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
Work Environment

This position requires frequent travel across a regional service area. The employee will work in a standard administrative office environment, as well as clients' homes and community-based environments such as schools. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Additional Information

The employee will work on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The primary role of the Therapist is to provide direct services to agency clients. On average, time spent on indirect tasks (e.g., paperwork, meetings, travel) should equal 25% of the time spent engaging in direct service.

Employment at Boys & Girls Haven is for no definite term and considered at-will, meaning that either the company or the employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without cause or notice.
