We are seeking a passionate licensed clinical senior therapist to join our multidisciplinary Washington DC team and contribute to our goal of making a difference.

The Senior Therapist is an experienced clinician with three or more years of clinical practice. In addition to providing individual therapy, group therapy, and coaching to our young adults, the Senior Therapist has the opportunity to contribute to additional programmatic initiatives.

We blend individualized therapy and skills coaching, hands-on family work, group-based clinical support, and a bustling community and social Clubhouse experience unseen elsewhere in our industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual, group, and family therapy for The Dorm clients and family members, as applicable.
  • Provides life-skills coaching off-site in the community and in clients' apartments as clinically indicated.
  • Conducts Bio-Psycho-Social Assessments and comprehensive intakes of all prospective clients.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date charts that are in compliance with the expectations and standards outlined in The Dorm's Policy and Procedure manual.
  • Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director, tri-weekly group supervision, and co-facilitator supervision as indicated by direct supervisor.
  • Responsible for at least 25 hours of clinical work per week.
  • Provides clinical individual supervision to student interns and consulting staff as called upon by the Clinical Director.
  • Provides 'co-facilitator' training as called upon by Clinical Director.
  • Participates in On-Call weekly coverage system on a rotating basis up to four times per year.
  • Work up to 2 evenings per week.
  • Able to work weekend programming on a rotational basis.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related program in psychology required.
  • State Licensure in social work or counseling required.
  • The ideal candidate has more than 3 years of related experience in a clinical setting with adolescents or young adults.
