Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Career Transition Coach to join our team at Odle Management. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supporting young people in their career transition journey, providing guidance on job search skills, and ensuring successful placement into employment or further education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with students preparing to exit the center, providing re-orientation and focusing on job search techniques.
  • Create and maintain a caseload of active assignee files, establishing a tickler system for caseload management.
  • Maintain bi-weekly or monthly contact through telephone and/or in person and document all actions in CTS case notes.
  • Attend meetings that involve Career Transition student/process issues.
  • Visit classrooms and trade shops to familiarize students with CTS processes, employability skills, career preparation, job search, job retention, etc.
  • Provide workshops to exiting students and assigned caseload, assisting center staff with the planning and execution of job fairs and career days.
  • Maintain linkages with military services, One Stops, and other external resources; secure and post job leads; set up job interviews; arrange transportation assistance and other support services.
  • Ensure accurate contact information is obtained from exiting students and their files are continually updated.
  • Initiate transfers for students relocating.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field. Alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related field with two years of experience would also be considered. A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is preferred.

Salary Estimate: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
