Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is a key member of the Boar's Head Brand team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the assigned department. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to train and develop team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with departmental teams to achieve daily objectives.
  • Train and develop lead persons in all job requirements, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all employees in the department are properly trained and understand the production process.
  • Confer with management and employees to resolve departmental problems and recommend improvements.
  • Compile and maintain required reports and documentation.
  • Conduct employee evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Represent the department at company meetings and functions.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; knowledge within the food industry equivalent to such education preferred.
  • Three to five years of related experience in the food industry, with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • HACCP certification.
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
