Travel Nurse RN Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Description & Requirements- Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant

- Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12 hours, evenings, nights, flexible
- Employment Type: Travel
As a Bone Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing patients who are preparing for or recovering from a bone marrow transplant. This requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, as these patients are highly immunosuppressed and susceptible to infection.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments and lab evaluations on all treatment patients.
- Review patient labs to determine if values are within accepted parameters for treatment.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of oncology and/or blood and marrow transplantation, chemotherapy and biotherapy treatment regimens, medications and blood products used to care for these complex patients.
- Elicit pertinent information concerning treatment and any treatment-related side effects.
