Job Summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled Bone Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 12 hours, evenings, nights, flexible

As a Bone Marrow Transplant Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for managing patients who are preparing for or recovering from a bone marrow transplant. This requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, as these patients are highly immunosuppressed and susceptible to infection.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments and lab evaluations on all treatment patients.
  • Review patient labs to determine if values are within accepted parameters for treatment.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of oncology and/or blood and marrow transplantation, chemotherapy and biotherapy treatment regimens, medications and blood products used to care for these complex patients.
  • Elicit pertinent information concerning treatment and any treatment-related side effects.
