Music Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified Music Teacher to join our team at Burncoat High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instructional experiences to students, promoting equity and appreciation of diversity, and ensuring equal educational opportunities for all individuals.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
• Mentor students in their understanding of music concepts and skills
• Manage classroom environment to promote a positive and inclusive learning space
• Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies to increase student learning and confidence
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement
• Ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including strategies for students with special needs and second language learners

• MA DESE License - Music: Vocal/Instrumental/General - ALL
• SEI Endorsement
• Bachelor's Degree

• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition

Work year: 184 days

Salary: Appropriate step on Teacher's Salary Schedule
