Music Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified Music Teacher to join our team at Burncoat High School. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instructional experiences to students in music education.

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction to ensure student growth and achievement
• Mentor students in the development of their musical skills and knowledge
• Manage classroom environment to promote a positive and productive learning atmosphere
• Use innovative approaches and instructional strategies to increase student learning and confidence
• Promote high standards and expectations for student achievement
• Ensure equitable opportunities for student learning, including support for students with special needs and second language learners

• MA DESE License - Music: Vocal/Instrumental/General - ALL
• SEI Endorsement
• Bachelor's Degree

• Demonstrated experience supporting students with special needs
• Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese or an African Language
• Demonstrated experience with second language acquisition

This is a full-time position with a work year of 184 days.
