Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance backend APIs and services that drive our customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user requirements and align our technology with their evolving needs.
  • Oversee engineering initiatives from inception to execution and maintenance.
  • Design and develop backend services and APIs using technologies like Golang, Python, gRPC/ConnectRPC, and AWS.
  • Manage data modeling and database management using tools like PostgreSQL, Protobuf, and AWS.
  • Monitor and enhance system quality through data-informed approaches.
  • Implement and enhance software engineering best practices, including Git, CI/CD, observability, test automation, and more.
  • Mentor and guide the technical growth of fellow engineers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in developing large-scale, data-intensive backend APIs and services.
  • At least 3 years of experience in leading cross-functional engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated track record in leading customer-centric technical initiatives and delivering value to customers.
  • Proficiency in engineering and coding, with a preference for Go, C++, Java, or another typed/compiled language.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, and expertise in cloud native architecture.
  • Practical experience with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Production experience in working with distributed systems, data stores, data modeling, indexing, and associated trade-offs.
  • Hands-on experience with software testing and automation.
