Job Title: Paint Area Manager

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paint Area Manager to lead our Production Paint Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our paint facility, ensuring the highest quality products are produced while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of paint technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to produce high-quality products.
  • Plan and coordinate production operations, prioritizing tasks and sequences to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Supervise and monitor workflow, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the paint department.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in paint and coatings, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Identify and drive root cause analysis, implementing corrective action plans to address non-conformances.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing operations experience in a paint environment.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience within manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP systems.

  • Ability to work under minimal direct supervision and take initiative to resolve problems.
