Job Title: Paint Area Manager

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paint Area Manager to lead and direct the activities of the Production Paint Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the paint facility, ensuring high-quality products, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of paint technicians and supervisors.
  • Plan and coordinate paint production operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting production targets.
  • Supervise and monitor paint production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality paint products.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Participate in recruitment and selection of paint team members, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to improve paint production processes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as manufacturing, engineering, or business.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on paint production.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems and quality control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting production targets and ensuring high-quality products.
