Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient, and effective management and delivery of nursing care for women before, during and after delivery of the baby. Secondary department: Med/Surg

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a Registered nurse (RN) is required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required
  • Attend the Perinatal Practicum course is required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification is required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required
  • Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) is required

Work Schedule

  • Day/Night Shift, 7:00am-7:30pm, 7:00pm-7:30am; 68 hours every 2 weeks
    • Every 3 rd weekend
    • Holiday rotation: 1 summer, 1 winter
    • Occasional call time
