Job Summary
The Medical Assistant in our Clinic is accountable for performing duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices, and competency. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and performing administrative tasks.
- Assist healthcare professionals with exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associate's degree or diploma required upon hire.
- Six or more years in a healthcare setting and/or Medical Assisting.
- Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration through one of the following: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
Work Schedule
- Clinic hours: 8:00am-5:00pm; 64 hours every 2 weeks.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $27.00 per hour
