We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Services Representative III to join our team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving complex customer issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt and exceptional service to customers, both internal and external.
- Independently respond to and assist customers with inquiries and requests, from basic to complex.
- Ensure understanding of and adherence to bank policies and procedures, including service, attendance, and teller standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with customer and bank information.
- Accurately process all teller transactions, including over-the-counter, night drop, courier, and mail.
- Assist customers with requests such as funds transfers, stop payments, bank products, and associated services charges, balance inquiries, online banking, interest rate inquiries, ATM/debit card issues, check orders, loan payments, providing cashier's checks, safe deposit access, and wire transfer requests.
- Assist management with daily reports and the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as assigned.
- Support branch audit certifications (ICRP) processes as duties are assigned.
- Comply with bank operations and security procedures and participate in all dual-control functions. Safety and security are always a priority.
- Assist in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash.
- Provide leadership and guidance to BSR staff. Communicate training or service concerns to the Branch Service Manager.
- Assume a limited leadership role in the absence of the BSM or ABSM/BSS.
- Assist and support management to ensure adequate control over branch assets.
- Understand and observe branch leadership protocols.
- The Branch Services Representative III will be knowledgeable in all aspects of opening and servicing new accounts and supersede processes, including regulatory requirements, gathering of proper documentation, and the customer interview process. Cross-sell products and services as opportunities are recognized in support of branch campaign programs.
- May have branch opening and closing responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 2-4 years previous branch operations experience in a commercial bank environment.
- Prior banking experience should include cash handling and a thorough knowledge of new accounts.
