Job Summary

The IPB and Private Bank Operations Control Testing Team is responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of controls designed and owned by Citi's IPB and Private Bank Operations departments. As a Senior Control Testing Team Leader, you will lead a team of professionals responsible for planning and executing control testing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of control testing professionals in planning and executing control testing activities, including design, results reporting, and insight sharing.
  2. Develop and maintain control testing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  3. Collaborate with senior managers to identify and prioritize control testing activities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  4. Develop and implement quality-checking routines to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and operating guides.
  5. Represent control testing in Operational Risk Forums and senior meetings, working with each respective team to finalize materials.
  6. Develop and drive continuous improvements in accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and quality of MCA control design assessment and controls testing.
  7. Maintain relationships and drive accountability with partners and stakeholders to drive control testing's success in support of the business's strategy.
Requirements
  • 10+ years relevant experience, 5+ years in Risk & Controls roles, 5+ years of direct management experience preferred.
  • Subject matter expert on controls design, execution, and/or control testing.
  • Expert-level understanding of MCA (Managers Control Assessment) frameworks and processes.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
  • Effective communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding people and relationship management skills with the ability to influence others and foster a sense of collaboration.
  • Independent thinker and able to perform a credible challenge of businesses/functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Investment securities and/or insurance licenses preferred (Series 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, 53, 55, 66, L&H).
  • Ability to work effectively on virtual teams, including across different geographies and time zones preferred.
Travel Requirement

Less than 10%.

Education

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
