Position Overview

The State of Montana is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Enterprise Architect within the Technology Services Division (TSD) of the Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS). This pivotal position is responsible for defining and establishing the business, application, and infrastructure architectures that support the Department's mission.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with:

  • Documenting the existing application infrastructure.
  • Developing a strategic roadmap for future application landscapes.
  • Collaborating with IT personnel, vendors, and key program staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • A solid understanding of information systems development, maintenance, and enhancement.
  • Familiarity with conducting feasibility studies and business process analysis.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies related to software development.
  • The ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology, including project management and software development.
  • Preferred experience with DPHHS applications and cloud computing technologies.
