Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant to join our team at Northern Kentucky University. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily operations of the Campus Recreation Center, implementing risk management plans, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Facility Management: Supervise daily operations of the Campus Recreation Center, including facility entry, equipment check-out, and facility set-ups.
- Student Supervision: Serve as Student Facility Manager of Campus Recreation Center, overseeing the daily activities of approximately 50 student facility employees.
- Risk Management: Implement appropriate risk management plans for CRC operations, coordinate Emergency Action Plans, and ensure a safe environment for patrons.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to facility users, resolving issues and ensuring a positive experience.
- Training and Development: Assist in hiring, training, and developing student facility employees, as well as developing and mentoring approximately 12 student Facility Managers.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with payroll and budget recording procedures, following departmental and university guidelines.
- Education: Must have completed a Bachelor's degree and been accepted into a graduate program at Northern Kentucky University.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Reliability: Must be responsible and reliable, with great time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- GPA: Must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
