Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer II

Position Overview:
This role is focused on ensuring that suppliers provide high-quality components, materials, and services essential for our operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in quality assurance within the medical device sector, demonstrating the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Proficient in basic statistical methods.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional technical writing abilities.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is crucial.

Preferred Skills:
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities.
  • DRM Greenbelt Certification.
  • Experience with gemba walks.
  • Familiarity with test method validation and measurement system analysis.
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and cardiovascular products.
  • Experience in supplier auditing and relationship management.

Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will:
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality standards and manage the Certified Supplier Program.
  • Oversee parts from acquisition through the manufacturing process, addressing supplier-related issues as they arise.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide constructive feedback.

Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, typically requiring three days onsite and two days remote, depending on project demands.

Career Development:
This role is part of a specialist career stream, focusing on delivering and managing projects while collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. The position allows for independent work with general supervision on moderately complex assignments.

Communication:
Frequent interaction with internal teams is expected, while external communications will generally involve less complex problem-solving tasks.
