We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Development Quality Engineer to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our Electrophysiology (EP) business, you will play a critical role in advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expertise in supplier selection, evaluation, and qualification to ensure compliance with Abbott and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality engineering methodologies, systems, and practices that meet industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Purchasing, R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality, to ensure effective supplier management.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to address supplier quality issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on supplier quality engineering best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and standards, including FDA, GMP, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Medical Device and/or Engineering, with 3+ years in Supplier Development Engineering.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Experience with root cause identification and problem-solving.
  • Preferred qualifications include advanced degree, medical device experience, and certifications such as ASQ CQE.
