The Division Order Analyst is responsible for identifying and verifying royalty and working interest ownership through meticulous examination of title documents and correspondence with interest owners. This role primarily involves the upkeep and enhancement of both system and electronic records to accurately reflect current ownership status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of Division Order Title Opinions to determine ownership rights.
  • Assist clients in addressing and resolving any title-related disputes or concerns.
  • Establish new properties, perform property research, and deactivate any properties that are no longer in operation.
  • Review title instruments related to the transfer of interests, including deeds, assignments, conveyances, trusts, and probate documents.
  • Update and maintain data in Opportune's systems to mirror changes in ownership.
  • Draft Division and/or Transfer Orders in alignment with established record title ownership.
  • Prepare correspondence on behalf of clients to respond to various inquiries from owners regarding ownership changes, title issues, and general well information.
  • Support Opportune's Royalty Relations Analysts in addressing telephone and written inquiries from interest owners regarding interest calculations and title discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on various projects related to Division Order matters.
  • Process executed Division Orders, Transfer Orders, address modifications, and property updates within Opportune's systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Division Orders is essential.
  • Experience in Land Administration is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient in software applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Land Systems; familiarity with BOLO is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt, multi-task, and solve problems effectively while managing time and organization.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work schedule that may vary with departmental demands.
