Senior Property Claims Adjuster

As a Senior Property Claims Adjuster at USAA, you will play a critical role in investigating, evaluating, and negotiating complex property insurance claims. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our members receive fair and timely settlements.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively manage assigned claims caseload, comprising claims with moderate complexity damages.
- Partner with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate moderate complexity claims resolution.
- Investigate claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources.
- Determine coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, and identifies subrogation potential.
- Negotiate moderate complexity claims settlements, developing recommendations and collaborating with management.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- 2 years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims.
- Developing knowledge of residential construction.
- Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
- Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
