Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Technician I to join our team at AdventHealth Redmond. As a PCT I, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform duties as assigned and directed by licensed nurses in compliance with established process standards, structure standards, and protocols of assigned units.
  • Work in cooperation with all team members to accomplish departmental goals and objectives.
  • Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care.
  • Ensure personal hygiene and comfort care is delivered to patients daily and as needed.
  • Maintain patient environment neat and clean.
  • Assess skin condition on all patients for potential breakdown and communicate with licensed nurses.
  • Complete treatments, procedures, and documentation as directed by licensed nurses.
  • Obtain vital signs per unit policy and report abnormal findings immediately to licensed nurses.
  • Demonstrate competencies in all procedures within scope of practice and as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and skills equivalent to a nursing student in the second year of study, Paramedic or EMT with a valid Georgia license.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare BLS certification.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed paramedic or EMT with a valid Georgia License.
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience.
  • CNA License in State of Georgia.
