Reports To: Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Chief Executive Officer, the Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for a range of activities focused on building partnerships, organizing outreach initiatives, and enhancing employee and volunteer engagement.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the recruitment process for staff and volunteers across various programs.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with community resources.
  • Represent the organization at health fairs, workshops, and conferences.
  • Manage and update social media platforms regularly.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the organization's website.
  • Keep a detailed calendar of outreach events, training sessions, and communication opportunities.
  • Coordinate special events such as fundraising and staff appreciation activities.
  • Document outreach activities and maintain accurate records for reporting purposes.
  • Create and distribute a quarterly newsletter.
  • Act as a liaison between community programs and staff development initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and revision of recruitment materials and program handouts.
  • Travel as necessary to various service areas.
  • Support the Head Start program and assist with budget preparations.
  • Design promotional materials for events and agency initiatives.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff on reports and audits.
  • Attend board meetings and provide reports as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Experience in office administration or community programs is preferred.


Skills:
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Respectful interaction with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in record-keeping and following instructions.
  • Ability to learn new software applications.

Additional Requirements:

Professional demeanor and attire are essential. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Must adhere to confidentiality standards and organizational policies.


Physical and Mental Demands:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and some lifting. Must possess the ability to manage diverse work challenges and resolve conflicts effectively.
