Quality Inspector Role at Howmet Aerospace Inc.

We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to join our team at Howmet Aerospace Inc., a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries.

About the Position

This is a full-time role responsible for performing inspections on machined seamless rolled rings or forgings to ensure conformance with work orders, blueprints, and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Support Quality Improvement initiatives and non-conformance systems.
  • Measure and inspect parts using advanced inspection tools.
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure precision.
  • Perform First Article Inspections to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the machine shop to resolve dimensional issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of related experience or combined education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Basic math and algebra skills.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
