GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB


The primary objective of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to perform thorough evaluations of all products before they are packaged and dispatched.

This position requires effective collaboration with the Operations Manager to identify and rectify any quality concerns that may arise.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for upholding and implementing the highest quality standards as set forth by Classic Rock Fabrication.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all safety regulations established by Classic Rock Fabrication.
  • Conduct random quality assessments throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate all completed materials promptly to ensure quality benchmarks are achieved prior to installation.
  • Perform piece counts, verify color/material, check measurements, and ensure job-specific cuts are accurate.
  • Communicate quality concerns to the Operations Manager for resolution.
  • Ensure proper handling and care of products during inspections, loading, and packaging.
  • Load completed jobs onto a-frames and secure them according to standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare packing documentation and package finished jobs when necessary.
  • Update order status within the ERP system and modify jobs as required.
  • Pair completed jobs with additional items needed for the job site.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes to transport materials.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the core values of Classic Rock.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support Classic Rock's vision and mission.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Ability to address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
