About the Role

The Port of San Diego is seeking a highly skilled Management Analyst to support the Procurement and Maritime departments with administrative, financial, and statistical analysis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects, gathering and analyzing data, and providing recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Analysis: Conduct administrative analysis studies to identify problems, determine analytical techniques, and gather necessary information and data for analysis.
  • Financial Analysis: Participate in planning, developing, and implementing departmental budgets, and perform in-depth revenue, expenditure, and other analyses.
  • Program Development: Assist in planning, organizing, and carrying out the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive District-wide programs.
  • Grant Administration: Coordinate and assist with the implementation and institutionalization of strategic planning objectives, and provide technical assistance to department staff.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to department staff, including conducting research, analyzing data, and drafting policy and procedure documents.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in business or public administration, finance, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: At least three years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operational, budgetary, and/or similar analyses.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
