Job Overview

This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn electrical and mechanical assembly skills in a production shop environment. As an Assembly Technician Trainee, you will assist experienced technicians with the fabrication of electrical and mechanical products according to standard specifications and instructions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all work safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA rules.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Collaborate with Assembly Technicians to learn the basics of Panel Shop procedures and develop skills in electrical panel assembly, metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of projects for shipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by shop foremen and shop leads.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Desire to learn and grow within the panel shop environment.
  • Ability to read and understand production blueprints, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Physical strength to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, and ability to stand for long periods.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with basic computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).
  • Forklift training may be a part of this position.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with the ability to speak, write, and read English.
Salary and Benefits

This is an hourly position with opportunities for overtime as needed to meet production schedules for client projects.
