Key Responsibilities
  • Mix and apply pesticides, fertilizers, and chemicals to crops in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.
  • Operate and maintain applicator equipment, including tractors, sprayers, and other machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of application activities, including log books and inventory management.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain pesticide applicator certification and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective crop protection and management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience operating large equipment and machinery preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate Helena equipment and/or drive a company vehicle.
  • Class A or B CDL required.
  • Pass a drug test and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanically inclined and able to perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Agricultural background and knowledge of ag pesticides.
  • Ability to read field maps and use tractor-mounted field computers.
  • Professional competence to safety.
Work Environment

Our work environment is a typical warehouse and distribution setting with moderate to loud noise levels. You will be working near moving equipment and machinery, and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, chemical and biological hazards, and electrical shock. You will be required to use your hands for various tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand, and sit. You will also be required to lift or move up to 100 pounds.
