Head of Content Strategy

The Head of Content Strategy at Zelis Healthcare is responsible for formulating and implementing a comprehensive approach to content generation across various formats. This role demands a seasoned strategist who can adeptly analyze information and present actionable solutions. As a proactive leader, you will oversee a team of content professionals in crafting and disseminating materials that enhance market engagement and boost brand visibility.

In this position, you will also ensure the integrity of the brand's written communication style, maintaining uniformity across all produced materials. You will work closely with Product and Segment Marketing, Marketing Leadership, and a range of subject matter experts to devise content strategies that translate into practical initiatives. Your role will involve establishing and refining processes that enable Zelis to generate industry-leading content efficiently. Additionally, you will cultivate and manage a network of external content creators to fulfill asset production needs. Collaborating with Performance Marketing, you will assess program outcomes and enhance future content strategies based on analytical insights.

Location and Workplace Flexibility: Zelis Healthcare promotes a hybrid and remote-friendly work culture, with employee work locations determined by the specific requirements of the role and guided by the Leadership team. In-office activities, when applicable, will align with team objectives and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Articulate the objectives for content creation at Zelis today and in the future by engaging with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to identify market needs and propose relevant content solutions.
• Transform intricate technology and healthcare topics into engaging and thought-provoking content, conducting annual content evaluations and formulating strategic recommendations for performance enhancement.
• Act as a reliable resource and strategic ally in all aspects of copywriting and content development, establishing standards that facilitate scalable content creation in line with brand guidelines.
• Lead and mentor a team of content writers, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure successful project execution.
• Communicate regularly and effectively, ensuring projects are appropriately assigned to writers or external contractors to guarantee timely production and delivery of materials.
• Assist the Content team in managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, collaborating across Marketing to ensure content is integrated into go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
• Employ SEO best practices and AI tools in content creation, envisioning innovative storytelling methods beyond traditional formats.
• Oversee research-driven content aimed at enhancing Zelis' market presence and fostering engagement among payers, providers, and members.

Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience in writing and content creation, demonstrating a successful history of producing high-impact and engaging media across various formats.
• In-depth knowledge of developing effective content strategies that align with audience personas and business needs, along with the ability to report on content performance.
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Familiarity with SEO and AI tools (e.g., ahrefs, SEMrush, Writer).
• A passion for storytelling in diverse formats, with a proven ability to convey complex ideas in creative and engaging ways.
• A collaborative approach in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to lead a team with agility under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the healthcare and/or technology sectors.
• A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or Communications.
