Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.">
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.">
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.">
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.">
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.">
