In this role, you will lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within your functional area, contributing to large-scale planning related to functional area deliverables. You will also review and analyze moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
As a Senior Control Management Specialist, you will contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and partner with others to meet functional area, project, or process deliverables while leveraging your solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
You will collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals, and may serve as a mentor for lower-level staff. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in risk management and control.
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Military experience in any branch of service: Army, National Guard, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard or Reserves
- Experience in supporting one or more areas of risk including, Business Control, Operational Risk or Compliance roles aligned to these groups
- Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
- Experience in designing, monitoring and or remediation of controls
- Experience in developing and or monitoring key risk indicators
- Understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
- Understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type
Enrollment into Wells Fargo's DOL Registered Apprentice Program is required. Apprentices are considered full-time employees within the program and are expected to uphold and adhere to Wells Fargo and the Apprenticeship Program policies, procedures, and employee expectations.
