Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Manage and coordinate the organization's daily operations, ensuring that all functions are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Meeting Coordination: Develop and implement a structured meeting schedule, ensuring that all logistical aspects are in place, including placement of public notice of meeting, agenda preparation, venue selection, and virtual streaming.
  • Communication Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring timely and accurate information flow between stakeholders and the public.
  • Community Engagement: Develop a community engagement plan to ensure that the organization's work is inclusive and responsive to the needs and perspectives of the broader community.
  • Transition Planning: Work closely with the leadership team to document all operational processes and procedures, providing a comprehensive report to the incoming Executive Director on all activities of the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in operations management, project management, or a similar role within a governmental or nonprofit setting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in project management tools and virtual meeting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Community Engagement: Experience in community engagement and public relations is highly desirable.
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position until a permanent Executive Director is retained. Travel is required for in-person attendance at meetings. A car is required. The cost of travel is included in the hourly pay rate.
