Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves the secure, efficient, and precise installation, commissioning, and servicing of Somic machinery at client sites and within the company, with a strong focus on ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing issues related to mechatronics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Adjusting and optimizing parameters in line with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Comprehending mechanical dynamics, timing, and positioning; understanding how modifications affect other machine functions.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation, including daily and weekly service reports.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing at customer locations.
  • Acting as Project Manager and Technical Support during on-site installations.
  • Maintaining effective communication with customers while on-site.
  • Completing administrative tasks as per established checklists and documentation standards.
  • Training customer staff on-site regarding equipment operation.
  • Installing and configuring SOMIC machinery.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with all services rendered.
  • Performing equipment performance evaluations and suggesting improvements.
  • Adhering to safe working practices in all job aspects.
  • Representing SOMIC professionally to current and prospective clients.
  • Executing PLC and HMI programming, along with logic adjustments in collaboration with the Engineering team.
  • Willingness to travel 75%-90% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Degree from a 2- or 4-year program in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Experience in automated case packaging is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years in the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex machinery and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, control systems, pneumatics, and mechanical principles.
  • Proficient understanding of PLCs with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Structured, reliable work approach with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work independently with confidence.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
  • Able to perform under pressure and adapt as needed.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • A valid class D driver's license and US Passport are mandatory.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
