Job Overview

QuantumPoly Innovations is on the lookout for a dedicated Production Equipment Specialist to enhance our operations at our advanced manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be integral to the efficient functioning of our plastic packaging production line tailored for the food and beverage sector. Your key duties will encompass setting up machinery for production cycles, ensuring quality assurance, and managing the packaging of our eco-friendly plastic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up machinery for production cycles on injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion equipment, ensuring all required materials and tools are prepared.
  • Operate plastic processing machinery in accordance with established protocols and food-grade safety standards.
  • Oversee production processes, making necessary adjustments to uphold quality and efficiency in plastic packaging manufacturing.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues that may occur during production, performing minor repairs or seeking assistance from maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Examine finished plastic packaging products to confirm they meet quality benchmarks and food-grade packaging criteria.
  • Package completed products for distribution, adhering to proper labeling and documentation protocols for food and beverage packaging.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, complying with safety and sanitation regulations specific to food-grade packaging production.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production targets and deadlines in our dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Document production metrics and report any issues or concerns to the relevant personnel.
  • Assist in the implementation of process enhancements and new product initiatives as our company evolves.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in machine setups for plastic production, especially in injection molding, thermoforming, or extrusion processes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills related to plastic processing machinery.
  • Experience in packaging, including familiarity with labeling and documentation practices for food and beverage products.
  • Knowledge of food-grade manufacturing standards and quality control processes.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to adapt to a growing, dynamic organization.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in plastics processing is advantageous.
