Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental Analyst

Location: Ladson, SC

Duration: 6 Months

Description:

As a Health, Safety, and Environmental Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the site's environmental permit requirements and safety standards are met. Your responsibilities will include gathering emissions and discharge data, conducting visual site inspections, and maintaining waste accumulation areas. You will also assist in the application of engineering and administrative controls to reduce environmental impacts and control safety risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation and maintenance of the site's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). Assist in regulatory compliance efforts and other programs applicable at the site, including storm water management, employee training, recordkeeping/reporting, and other associated HSE programs. Monitor day-to-day operations associated with pollution prevention, waste management, air quality, water quality, and related programs.

Risk Assessment: Evaluate hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.

Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems: Interpret and apply international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.

Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.

Measurement and Evaluation of Health, Safety and Environment Performance: Collect and analyze data by creating key performance indicators to evaluate performance trends, deliver improvement goals and objectives, inform strategy, and protect employees and the environment.

Work Related Injury and Illness Management: Communicate and document work-related injuries or illnesses through application of Cummins reporting guidelines and relevant regulations to classify and manage the event and its consequences as well as achieve regulatory compliance; care for the affected employees by facilitating clinical treatment practices and applying case management processes to restore the employee to their normal condition.

Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance: Identify, interpret, and manage legal and other requirements by implementing controls, monitoring, and reporting on operational performance to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental-related regulations and standards.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific field required. 5-7 years' work experience required.
