Position Overview:
The Health Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in managing employee welfare programs, with a primary focus on health insurance enrollment and eligibility under the New York State Health Insurance Program (NYSHIP). This position requires handling sensitive and confidential information while providing comprehensive administrative support related to employee benefits for both NYS and RF.
Essential Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline, or an Associate's degree accompanied by two years of relevant professional experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, exceptional organizational abilities, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively is also required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior experience in human resources within a healthcare, higher education, or public sector environment is highly preferred.
Work Schedule:
This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule during standard business hours.
