Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other hotel equipment to ensure they function effectively.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems, including heating and cooling systems, plumbing, electrical, and other hotel infrastructure.
  • Oversee all maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks: refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventative maintenance, convention center front and back of house spaces, A/C units, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards.
    Identify and address safety hazards promptly. Understand and implement all lockout-tagout procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests swiftly and effectively, addressing issues such as power outages, leaks, or other urgent matters.
  • Maintain precise records of all maintenance and repair activities.
    This includes documenting work performed, parts utilized, and any other pertinent information.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to understand their maintenance needs and resolve any issues that may affect guest satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.
    Provide training to other staff members on basic maintenance procedures.
  • Uphold a high standard of cleanliness and functionality in guest rooms and public areas to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular property inspections of the hotel's physical facilities to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Participate in monthly staff meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years in general property maintenance or a related field, with relevant experience in hotel maintenance preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years of supervisory experience required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Certification: CFC preferred.
  • Experience in PTAC maintenance and repair is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in drywall repair is highly preferred.
  • Experience in painting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of fire and safety regulations is preferred.
  • Flexible availability is essential.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
