Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Dermatology Partners Inc. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and support in alignment with our company's core values and culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and evaluate patients for their visit, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation of medical history and chief complaint.
  • Accompany providers in the exam room during patient exams and accurately transcribe all medical notes.
  • Prepare patients and materials needed for all procedures, including administering local anesthetic, removing sutures, and applying patches for allergy testing.
  • Respond to patient messages within 24 hours, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Ensure patient charts and medical records are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory policies.
  • Schedule patients for follow-up appointments and complete start and end of day tasks to ensure the office is prepared for daily clinic.
  • Deliver patient education and documentation on disease, wound care, pathology reports, and diagnosis, as well as medication and side effects.
  • Send medications to the pharmacy as prescribed by the provider and accurately fill out prior authorization request forms.
  • Complete all required training by the due date and adhere to HIPAA and other medical regulations.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in EMR systems (preferred)
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Clean and presentable appearance
  • Team-focused and able to follow detailed instructions with limited oversight
  • Organized, punctual, and professional
  • Eager to grow and learn with the company
  • Fluency in computer systems and software packages
  • Dedicated to patients and personable customer service
  • Passionate about the field of Dermatology
