Job Title: Medical Assistant

Berks Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient exams and procedures
  • Take vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
  • Medical Assistant certification or training
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCMA or MA certification
  • One year of training or experience in a medical office setting
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to see well enough to read reports and use computer
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Ability to move about the agency and community
