About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Insight Global. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for physician visits by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
  • Greet patients in a polite and helpful manner, providing necessary instructions and directions.
  • Obtain and enter new patient demographics, updating patient information as necessary to maintain accurate medical records and billing purposes.
  • Review forms for accuracy and completion according to office policies prior to accepting.
  • Educate patients on medication and home care instructions, explaining treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions as needed.
  • Collect laboratory specimens, log them, and prepare them for testing.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant degree or training and high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CCMA or MA certification.
  • One year of training or experience in a medical office with mental health or substance use treatment.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
  • Community Health Workers certification.
  • Knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches.
