About the Role:
The House Supervisor is a key member of our nursing leadership team, responsible for coordinating and supervising hospital and patient care services. This role requires a strong leader who can effectively utilize staff within staffing guidelines, taking into consideration the staff's competency and patient acuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Clinical Excellence: Provide leadership for clinical excellence, personnel and resource management, fiscal accountability, and maintenance of positive working relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Decision Making and Authorization: Make decisions, authorize, and act in the absence of department management and/or hospital administration.
- Staff Performance Evaluation: Evaluate staff performance and work-related behavior per policies, obtaining information from appropriate personnel and utilizing effective coaching to enhance the performance of the employee.
- Leadership Behavior and Teamwork: Model leadership behavior, set expectations for teamwork, and hold staff accountable for performance.
- Strategic Planning and Quality Improvement: Demonstrate effectiveness in planning for future needs by strategic planning, compliance, and quality improvement, fiscal and inventory management, productivity management, patient satisfaction, and community and physician relations.
- Education and Community Outreach: Participate in the organization's educational programs and support the community outreach program, while maintaining advanced practice study.
Requirements:
- Nursing Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
- Certifications: A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required, and a current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider is required.
