We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Patient Blood Management (PBM) program as a Quality Specialist. This role will play a crucial part in optimizing patient blood health through evidence-based practices.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $90,000 per year, plus benefits.
  • The successful candidate will work hybridly (onsite/remote) and may be required to travel throughout the St. Luke's Health System.

In this role, you will:

  1. Conduct audits and quality activities related to patient blood management.
  2. Establish, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to blood product utilization.
  3. Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient blood management strategies.
  4. Monitor patient blood use and identify opportunities for improvement.
  5. Provide training and education to healthcare staff about patient blood management best practices.
  6. Evaluate and implement new patient blood management technologies and techniques.
  7. Promote compliance with all regulatory standards related to blood and blood product usage.
  8. Participate in research and data collection efforts related to patient blood management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of RN experience, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting (oncology, ED, surgical or OB).
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the state of practice.
