Job Summary

Marten Transport is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dedicated Coverage Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing drivers' performance, communicating with drivers, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage drivers' performance in identified categories, including on-time pickup and delivery, pallet management, and hours of service compliance.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding load information, advances, purchase orders, and maintenance coordination.
  • Assist and/or manage part or all of a fleet, ensuring optimum performance in various categories.
  • Ensure drivers have a clear understanding of customer and company expectations on each load.
  • Monitor and record details on all assigned trucks and drivers.
  • Act as a substitute for the customer service manager, providing seamless and transparent service to customers.
  • Supervise and monitor trailer pools in the respected market.
  • Promptly and logically secure loading and/or unloading appointments.
  • Communicate any problems encountered to the regional manager or customer service manager.
  • Aggressively pursue and expand knowledge of other positions and functions to broaden your own ability and scope.
  • Maintain and monitor service levels provided to Marten's customers as required.
  • Perform routine solicitations of customer base by telephone or other forms of communication.
  • Delegate duties and train customer service associates.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to handle a fast-paced work environment, and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time.

A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, marketing, or other related majors, or applicable experience is required.

Working Conditions

This role requires sitting for long periods, manual dexterity for data entry, stooping, bending for filing, and light to moderate lifting.
