The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sorter/Donation Processor to join our Production team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in preparing donations for retail sale or salvage according to Salvation Army policy and production procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Sorting and Processing Donations: Sort, clean, and prepare donations for sale or salvage, adhering to Salvation Army policy and production procedures.
- Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace: Ensure the donation area is clean and free of debris, and maintain a clean and organized receiving and processing area.
- Loading and Unloading Donations: Load donations for truck delivery and adhere to all safety policies related to loading and unloading trucks.
- Accident and Injury Reporting: Follow all accident and injury reporting procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor/Director of Production.
- Education: High School diploma or General Education degree (GED), or one or two months of related job experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and stoop regularly; frequently walk, climb, and/or balance; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Competitive Pay: Competitive hourly rate.
