Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic II to join our team at Highway Transport Logistics, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors and trailers to ensure they meet company and DOT standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with tractors and trailers, including electrical, suspension, and HVAC systems
  • Assist other technicians with repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles are compliant with regulations
  • Perform welding and light fabricating tasks as required
Requirements
  • 1+ years of mechanical experience, preferably in a heavy equipment or transportation setting
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Basic troubleshooting and repair skills, including electrical, suspension, and HVAC systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
