The University of Tennessee seeks an experienced Electrician II to join its Facilities Services Department. This role involves installing, operating, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment for the campus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of electrical systems, the ability to read blueprints, and a mechanical aptitude. They should also be able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform hard physical work for extended periods.

This position requires a valid driver's license, high school education, and four or more years of experience in the field, or equivalent through completion of trade school or apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining lighting systems, panel boards, and transformers, as well as performing troubleshooting of Electrical and Life Safety Systems.

As a member of the Facilities Services team, the Electrician II will work closely with contractors and other crafts to ensure the efficient operation of campus facilities. They will also train craft assistants as needed and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
