Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will operate within the framework of the nursing process as defined by the ANA scope of practice. This role involves delivering professional nursing care through patient-family centered care principles, which include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging patients. The RN will ensure high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, adhering to Corewell Health's policies and procedures, while recognizing the significance of nursing care and patient/family collaboration on health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience as an inpatient RN.
  • Preferred: Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a night shift schedule, requiring 36 hours per week. The RN will work variable nights, including every third weekend.
